blood and guts and an eviscerated mess

And so then, the 100th episode. A whole hundred of them. You go through a hundred of these and you do feel... Why, why, why? You know what? I sure as hell am not gonna miss the sight of little bits of cut-off flesh being tossed into containers along with bloody scalpels and scissors and all sorts of medical waste.

What no staunch fan can deny, is that the fun element of NIP/TUCK was progressively lost, and all but missing by the Sixth Season. The only fun was that one where Annie posed for that photographer.

Take a look at the DVD box cover. Okay, another highly stylized image, the laced-up body of a young girl, but we'd all agree, looks nice and sexy, huh? Hoo boy, there is very little in this season that is remotely sexy. If the early seasons were the champagne, they were quickly overtaken by sour grapes, and by the final season, nothing but vinegar. The more these people got carved up (hey! how many times did Sean get stabbed in the series? hell, these people are pin cushions!) the more the story became ridiculous and quite frankly UNBEARABLE.

That said, I liked the ending. Christian Troy as he is. Forever on the prowl. Using his success as his bait. But just imagine how he'd have ruined that Hot Blonde's life too.

Some loose thoughts: (1) Notice that Kimber has not been found. That left options open for the future. (2) A hell of a disappointment that Annie (Kelsey Lynn Batelaan) faded out of the story after that promising episode with the Italian photographer. (3) I maintain that Famke Janssen is a most mesmerizing vision, but I'm just not sure that she is 100% human (only kidding)...

The dialogue at the airport bar between Christian and the girl is the same that Christian and Kimber had in the pilot.
    • Quotes

Kimber Henry: [In a dreamy way, typical of the show] Hey, sailor...

Dr. Christian Troy: [Surprised] Kimber... Uff.

      [Looks at her with love]

Dr. Christian Troy: I missed you so much.

Kimber Henry: Really? Because I didn't miss you. I know I said to you that I did, but no so much. I think I'm finally free now.

Dr. Christian Troy: Don't say that. You're the best thing that ever happened to me.

Kimber Henry: And yet you stole my soul. I have to kill myself to get away from you. That was the only way out. And now Sean is killing himself too, Christian. If he stays with you, he's a dead man.

      [Christian awakes]
