- Damos: To all of my beautiful future children who taught me how to believe. I offer all of you now my sincerest hopes, and wishes that the future world will become more and more beautiful. And that is exactly the kind of world you find yourselves in.
- Arceus: [after saving Ash and Pikachu from the rising water] Ash and Pikachu. Are you the ones who saved my life?
- Ash Ketchum: It wasn't just us.
- [Arceus sets them down on the balcony with the others]
- Brock: Ash!
- Dawn: You're alive!
- Ash Ketchum: [to Arceus] Everybody here did it!
- Pikachu: Pika, pika!
- [Arceus looks at Ash and his friends with respect. Damos steps forward]
- Damos: Arceus, please forgive me.
- Arceus: I already saw it in your heart. It's alright.
- Arceus: [after Arceus is saved] I have used up all of my strength. So for now I must rest. Farewell, Damos, Ash, and Pikachu.
- [looks at the rest of the Pokemon]
- Arceus: And you. All of my beloved.
- [Arceus flies into the sky. Everyone watches happily as Arceus disappears in a flash of color. Sheena and the others start to glow]
- Sheena: Dialga's calling.
- Damos: Dialga?
- Sheena: Time to return to the future.
- Damos: But I wanted to speak more.
- Ash Ketchum: Me too.
- Dawn: Yeah, me too.
- Brock: Same here.
- Damos: But it's not to be, future children.
- [Sheena, Ash, Dawn, and Brock vanish back into the future]
- [Ash, Dawn and Brock are in a jail cell]
- Dawn: I wonder who Marcus is.
- Damos: A backstabber.
- Ash Ketchum, Brock, Dawn: Huh?
- [they turn around to see Damos sitting behind them]
- Damos: It's true. You see, Marcus was an underling of mine, but he betrayed me and threw me in jail.
- [recognising Damos, they gasp and frown]
- Brock: You must be...
- Ash Ketchum: Damos!
- Damos: Wait, you're saying you know me? But you're not from here.
- Ash Ketchum: I wanna know why you won't give the Jewel of Life back to Arceus!
- Damos: What did you say?
- Dawn: Why are you setting a trap for Arceus too?
- Damos: [stands up, offended] I'm doing nothing of the sort! I have every intention of returning the Jewel of Life to Arceus!
- Ash Ketchum: You're a liar!
- Damos: It's the truth! That's why Marcus put me in jail! To keep me from doing that very thing!
