An honest and often moving self exploration of life and legacy
I decided back in the 80s or 90s I didn't care much for Val Kilmer. I DID though feel he was ripped off for being snubbed an Oscar Nomination for us role of Doc Holliday in Tombstone (1993), but only saw very few of his films.
This new autobiographical documentary "Val" was however an honest and moving self examination of his life. Throat Cancer stole his voice but not his artistry in telling his story.
Perhaps part of the appeal here is he is of my generation. Highly recommend a look.
