My headline says it all. I've seen this plot done WAY better in daytime soap operas, and the actors on those shows are way more competent than the ones used here. The script is stupid: the husband goes missing in a helicopter crash (in Alaska) and the wife (in California) waits at a pier with binoculars! Hello? Did anyone with a brain write this? The actors are bottom of the barrel, they can't sell any of the dumb dialogue. Simu Liu is the most recognizable actor but he acts like this is a comedy, not a romantic drama. I only watched this because my wife read the book and she said that was much different than the film.
