A ten line minimum is a bum policy

Was it just me or did that the length of that episode match Eric Murphy's height? It was less than 22 minutes! What the hell!

And since we're forced to discuss the requirement of length, why the heck does IMDb demand that we write at minimum 10 lines in a comment? I would be writing for longer than the episode was on TV and about nothing. Luckily they have given me a topic to type onward about because, in order for this to be a valid submission; in order for me to ask whether you, the interested parties, noticed or cared about the length of the broadcast, i must go on for ten, bloody lines.

    done ten lines...poor policy.

    Ordinary Story

This episode is indeed about 4½ minutes shorter than, for example, the following one, but I there is a valid reason IMDb reviews have to be at least 10 lines: Anything less is likely to just be non-useful to other users. That's why the site asks users, "Was the above review useful to you?"

But I digress. It's odd that an episode uses numerous semi-regular characters *and* three celebrities playing themselves and still runs so short. The problem is that a golf tournament is not enough to form the basis of an Entourage episode. Sure, if this was a movie or a stand-alone program *about* a golf tournament, the makers would be able to give us any amount of time from 22 minutes to 2 hours of solid content, but here, there is, ironically, not enough time for any other major plot line - something which the following episode proves. Here the only major plot development comes right at the end. The golf eats too much time and as a whole, this episode feels more like an average national network sitcom episode with generic jokes (albeit with lots more swearing) than a caringly crafted, hilarious Entourage episode. Still, at 7/10 this sure beats those 5/10 sitcoms.

Creator Doug Ellin had NFL star brothers Eli and Peyton Manning lined up to be the golfing partners of Vince and Johnny but the Manning brothers dropped out last minute. Producer Mark Wahlberg suggested that he and Tom Brady take the roles and Ellin quickly agreed.
    • Goofs
When Sloan calls E, Ashley tells him the caller ID says it's Sloan, but there is no lit display on the phone, as would be the case with a phone that had caller ID.

Ari Gold: Because another man's affair is not my business, and it's not my business to tell you. So I can't say I'm sorry.
