There's a recurrence of the running joke that Eric and Ernie were classmates at Milverton Street infants' school. In reality Eric attended Lancaster Road Junior School and Euston Road Senior School in Morecambe, whilst Ernie went to Thorpe Infant and Junior School, then East Ardsley Boys' School, Leeds.
