Buddy Ebsen and
Frankie Darro--were among the five listed in the fictional movie "Rhythm on Ice" as read from a scripted version of TV listings by Ralph Kramden in a classic episode of
The Honeymooners (1955). The other names he read not appearing on this show were
Jane Frazee,
Jerry Colonna and singer
Kenny Baker. Ironically, it would be a different
Kenny Baker who physically portrayed R2D2 in the original "Star Wars" trilogy, whereas Frankie Darro had actually been the actor inside Robby the Robot in
Forbidden Planet (1956).
