Brendan Fraser and Alex Wolff in Hair Brained (2013)

Goofs

Hair Brained

Edit

Continuity

At 1:06:40, Gertrude Lee plays bass without a cable plugged to an amplifier; in the following scenes, the bass is connected to an amplifier.

Factual errors

When Eli is playing pinball, the sounds are of an old EM pinball machine, but he's playing Fish Tales, a solid-state that has full electronic sound.
During one of the Mastermind competitions, the answer Petifog gives regarding abalones is incorrect. Abalones most definitely ARE molluscs (Phyllum mollusca). He goes on to say that they are instead a type of "marine snail" which is true, but ALL snails are molluscs (Class Gastropoda). Abalones are just in their own little family, Haliotidae, which has only one genus.
Right after Hares are shown beating Skidmoore in Collegiate Mastermind, a guy is seen holding the newspaper "WHITTMAN DAILY" in a classroom. When the camera captures a close-up view of the news on the corner of one of the pages, the sentence "... It is there first win in over 30 years" is clearly visible.
At around 50 mins, Eli collects his registered mail, but the envelope has no USPS registered mail stickers, he doesn't sign for it, and the clerk doesn't scan it to give a delivery time.

Miscellaneous

When Eli is playing the children's xylophone, he strikes the keys in ascending order but the sound is in descending order.
