The Tournament of Poker in Las Vegas

The tournament of poker in Las Vegas has come to the final, and the young player Jake Hartman is missing. The casino owner Hugh Ellis hires The Lightman Group to learn what has happened to him. Cal, Dr. Foster and Reynolds travel to Las Vegas to interview the finalists, who are the prime suspects of Jake's disappearance. Along the investigation, secrets are disclosed, and the dead body of the gambler Abe Tostevin is found in the trunk of a car. But where is Jake?

"Fold Equity" is an episode of "Lie to Me" where the gorgeous Kelli Williams shines. Her beauty and elegance are highlighted by her dresses in this episode. Cal probably had a love affair with the sexy Poppy Wells. The conclusion in the roulette is silly since his group needs money. My vote is seven.

    Great fun

This episode must have been written by a Simpsons fan as it is littered with subtle Simpsons references. See if you can spot them all!

    • Goofs
Dr. Foster claims that Roulette has the worst odds in a casino. This is incorrect. Players can win 94 cents on the dollar at Vegas Roulette (97 cents in Europe). This is worse than Blackjack (roughly 98 cents per dollar), but better than slots (between 80 cents and 94 cents on the dollar). But payout is still far better than Keno (75 cents on the dollar) or even state-run lotteries which offer payouts around 50 cents on the dollar bet... and then they tax you if you win.
    • Quotes

Mason Brock: I never thought I'd see the day...

Amadeo Valadez: What day is that?

Mason Brock: The day they'd let Cal Lightman back in Vegas.
