Lol at all the offended "Christians"

I knew this episode was going to receive negative reviews from the Christian crusaders even though this episode was beautiful. They never want to admit that their religion is just as ignorant and dangerous as others are. This episode was very well thought out and written. 10/10

    Beautiful

i wont go into detail because I'm not that good at writing, but i will say that this episode is one of my favourites of the program, its one of my favourite episodes that I've ever watched out of any TV program, the ending was beautiful, I'm not afraid to say that i shed a tear.

screw the other guy that reviewed this episode, its a must watch.

Just for the record, i watch a lot of films and TV, i'd say that out of the episodes of ncis I've watched so far, some are good, some are less than so, but occasionally some are brilliant, one other episode that comes to mind is the episode where the soldier awarded the medal of honor believes himself to have killed his best friend in the war.

    Review of reviews

The program was pretty decent, and did the heart-string-tugging that we expect around Christmas However, this isn't really a review of the programme, but standing back and seeing what other reviewers have written, I need to say this. Bigotry appears in many societies and organisations. We have seen the effects of religious bigotry in the behaviour of so-called "Islamic Jihadists", and cultural bigotry leading to "Honour Killings" found in Arabian countries and Pakistan, but not significantly in Bangladesh, Indonesia, or other Islamic countries (supporting the view that it is a cultural, not a religious phenomenon). I have two personal observations on the matter. The first is that when my son was young, we had a baby sitter. As he grew older, it seemed unnecessary to keep her coming, but she implored me to do so. She said it was the only way she could do her homework. She could not do schoolwork in her home. Her father had been known to throw her schoolbooks on the fire, and tell her she should be out finding a man, rather than chasing useless fripperies like education. This was an East Scotland fishing community, only a few decades ago. (She eventually had a well-deserved career on the staff of the University of St Andrews.) My second observation is the memory of Lord MacKay of Clashfern (at the time, Lord Chancellor, the senior judge of the UK), excommunicated by his "Free Church of Scotland" sect because he had the temerity to attend a Roman Catholic service in memory of a friend. I also have memories (although not supporting information) of an incident where a Church congregation (in the Western Isles, I think) split over a disagreement as to which of the Sunday School Superintendant or the Session Clerk should cut the Sunday School Christmas Cake. My conclusions would be: that bigotry is everywhere and is tied to culture, but that religion can amplify bigotry. And, I guess, that not every cultural idiocy can be classified as "bigotry".

    • Trivia
Meredith Eaton (Carol Wilson) would go on to play Matty Webber in the new series of MacGyver. MacGyver is part of the NCIS universe along with the series Hawaii 5-0.
    • Goofs
At the end, DiNozzo claims to have the 'security clearance' to look into Delores' personnel file. It is not possible for an agent to look into another federal employee's personnel file unless it's part of an investigation, and even those would be carried out by special units within NCIS or Navy's OIG. He would also have a valid 'need to know' in order to use his clearance to access anything. Additionally, the level of detail about the doll is not something that would be detailed in a personnel file.

Dr. Donald Mallard: Yeah, perhaps if humanity focused *less* on what separates us from one another and more on what we could learn from our differences, we would stop killing one another. That is what I pray for.

Special Agent Jethro Gibbs: [Gibbs enters] You're not the only one, Duck.
