I Liked This Rather Basic Girls Chased by Meth head Murderers

I thought the realistic portrayal of text-addicted teen girls not knowing the first clue about survival from mindless, heartless, motiveless killer was actually smart.

TOO MANY movies with a mostly female cast tend to turn the girls into Rambo or some more mature capable version of who we were introduced to; its unearned. The girls tried their best!

The first part I thought WAS really well done as cell phones may one day be seen as sinister as far as apps go. And in THIS FILM the phones cameras etc are all taken away by the psychologist adult woman running this GETAWAY PROGRAM RIVERBOAT& CAMPING trip (for internet addicted teens).

If NO TECH RULE hadn't been part of this program they are in- service wouldn't be there anyway. That's what EVERY OTHER film does to remove the usefulness of cell phones in emergencies. But once they set up camp things go from unsettling when 2 methhead hicks/ murderers lay anchor right beside their cruiser boat, to terrifying in good speed.

I could not believe the adult left after seeing what was/who in that boat!

Sure if the methheads are with HER they cant possibly hurt the girls so WHY not?! Wow.

They are in a much faster vessel and of course they show their work to the girls so there's no doubt that the ONE adult is not useful.

This is when the annoying screaming begins. I realise its trying to show how horrified they'd be but they all made SO MUCH noise that half of them caused their own fates. I liked the explanation for the girlfriend of the mansonish ex-con. It made more sense she was turned into a wraith. Meth teeth were well established. I was annoyed with the screaming but then overall it was tense enough, despite there being 40 of this type of seek & destroy campers/ hikers/ car breakdown victims horror.

If you DON'T watch lots of these THIS MAY really creep you out! Also never scream while running!! And shhhhhhh.

Couldn't get through .07 Minutes of this STUDENT FILM

What a JOKE!! What is it with IMDb being a portal now for student films??!! What is this? MySpace? I tried tried tried to watch this lame waste of digital media past seven minutes and absolutely couldn't do it. LOVE the reviews by family members and friends here also! Notice how they are aligned within 2-3 days apart even! NO plot - NO character backbone, NO motivation for NOTHING! A bunch of giggling little brats and scary illustration of our modern day i-phone app generation boneheaded teenager wannabee artsy UN-educated dweebs! Lets see... we can photoshop a poster to make it look "Real" nowadays, we can borrow 100,000 from the bank and rent "Digital cameras" using SD cards bought at BestBuy, we can ADVERTISE on Craigslist for wannabee actors or post on a college rec-room bulletin board for extras and POW!! 2013! You can make believe you have a movie yo! Ain't nobody made money with this excepting the 2500.00 that Netflix gives the production company for it's Life rights! HAAA! And THEY better watch out as if they keep buying this kinda trash, people are going to get wise and start using VUDU whereas REAL movies are streamed. Not this generic I can pretend to be Hollywood garbage!

    Superb Horror Film

Director Glen Withrow's redefines horror and pushes the envelope of terror with his film, The Mooring. Building the suspense at a fever pitch, he creates an atmosphere of stark raving fright within minutes with a exciting opening sequence. The production values are first rate and the Idaho locations heighten the feeling of surrealism that permeates the film. An exciting cast of young faces are introduced in this motion picture and are sure to become major stars as a result of its impact. Their performances are outstanding and there isn't a false not in the bunch. The true horror in this film lies outside the realm of blood and gore and the focus is upon the terror of unexplained disappearance. Thomas Wilson Brown's downright breathtaking in the role of Richard, a disturbing turn that should catapult him to the stratosphere of the acting profession.

Summary: A gaggle of girls go into the forest and meet a psycho intent on killing them. Gaggle clucks movie sucks.

Apparently IMDb requires me to create a really long review. No real character development going in this flick. I could end it there but rules are rules. The movie starts out giving us some nice cinematography. For some reason the gaggle gets on a house boat. Probably someone needed to take a tax deduction on a houseboat and someone else wanted to see their boat in the movies. Not much character development going on here. We could have seen the girls starting out to be in conflict with each other and coming together to defeat the psycho and using their smarts (sans technology) but "nooooooo!" The term "narrative excess" is defined in this film. I really tried to watch this film but I couldn't. I stopped, tried again, stopped tried again, fast forwarded the film, and tried again to no avail. The cinematography was good but it could not save this film.

    The Mooring: Epic!

The Mooring was very superb and a fine thriller full of intensity. The cast and especially the girls were amazing in this film. The story was very suspenseful and kept everyone engaged. Directed by Glenn Withrow I give it a thumbs up, a true horror impact and beyond chilling. There were happy moments and sad moments a motion picture that focuses on many standards. Thomas Wilson Brown brought his character in a major turn of events, great work pulling off such a violent character. Hallie Todd I give her a glorified thumbs up, she was sweet, kind, and loving beyond the story being a like mother and role model to the girls, but the lost of her saddened the girls big time. The audience must watch to view how Hallie Todd's character "Nancy" influenced the girls. Brooklyn Tate and Bailey Morgan did good portraying the character "Mickey" it's very deep and sad to see Mickey's life changed in seconds and changed in the course of being gone for ten years. Richard shattered her life and stolen her Innocence, but in the end Mickey sees Richard for who he is and who he has always been and Mickey gets revenge on Richard for what he has done to her and these girls. Beyond this The Mooring is a must watch. The girls in this film were great and hope to see them in more films. Awesome work Glenn and the cast.
