In flashbacks to 1864, the relationship of Stefan, Damon, Katherine and Anna is disclosed and why Damon hates Stefan.
In the present days, Stefan has a long conversation with Alaric and the teacher tells him that Damon killed his wife but her body has never been found. Further, they discover that Gilbert journal is gone missing. Damon asks Elenes whether he can trust on Stefan or not and she lies to him. Stefan comes to Elena's home and soon Damon discovers that Anna has stolen the journal from Alaric. When Damon sees her, he has a recollection of Anna in 1864. Bonnie dates Ben and has a surprise. Stefan and Elena read a copy of Gilbert journal and they discover an old journal buried in the woods but Damon shows up disappointed with Elena. Stefan delivers the journal to avoid that Elena be turned into a vampire. They return to Elena's home and soon she is kidnapped by Anna through the window.
"Children of the Damned" is an episode where past and present are entwined, explaining the problem between Damon and Stefan. Anna is a powerful vampire, capable of resisting Damon and she certainly wants to bring her mother back. Bonnie has a surprise when Ben captures her. My vote is eight.
