I wont be paying a license fee in future Need to write ten lines for this review so i'm filling up space at this stage because i cant be bothered writing any more about that awful TV show Need to write more lines because the minimum is ten can you believe that- IMDb force you to write a minimum of ten lines for a review- its like being back in school again- you can't even swear! it edits out your commentary- the web is as bad as that terrible RTE show

I found the premise interesting but the jokes were third rate. RTE, This is a waste of the license payers money.

This show is not funny. Tommy Tiernan, Jason Byrne or Des Bishop are the guys you need to make a Comedy show.

I'm sorry, but the jokes were pretty bad, it was cringe-worthy. Whoever gave this show the green light needs their head examined.

Can't fault the acting though, that was very good. It just looked like they had a bad script to contend with. I've never given a review a vote of 2/10, so I'm not going to start now... though i'm tempted:-) So, I'd say the good points were the acting, Domhnall Gleeson is a great actor, but the bad points would have to be the script, producing and directing end of things..

I disagree with some of the other posts, but opinions vary and so do peoples sense of humour.

I loved the show and after reading some of the negative reviews I really felt the need to write this, I'm not one for the American sit coms and it was refreshing to actually see funny content in Your Bad Self instead of boring dialogue accompanied with canned laughter that most sit coms provide.

I would consider myself a harsh critic when it comes to comedy, but maybe I just have a sick sense of humour... I've seen the clips for this show on YouTube and I find it very, very funny! I've recognised some of the actors and rate this as one of the funniest comedy sketch shows around, you can tell the actors had a ball while filming it. The sketches provide a variety of hilarious situations so there is something for everybody, and I have laughed out loud at a lot of the content. I do admit not all sketches are hilarious, but I found most are.

Definitely worth a watch if you love a laugh, I rate this 10 out of 10, just wish they filmed more seasons.

One of the funniest sketch shows I've seen for a long time. Bonus that it happens to be made in Ireland.

While one or two characters to recur, the sketches are generally unrelated and varied. The one common thread is the format: A serious scene, with one spark of insanity. The consistently polished performances and duologue shines through the characters' idiosyncrasies. A credit to both the actors and the writers.

Without spoiling it, special mention must be made of Peter McDonald's "cute hoor" character. Brilliant stuff.

I admit I'm reviewing this show only because the previous two reviewers gave the show such bad reviews. I didn't watch every episode but the ones I saw were a bit of a mixed bag.

With a multi-character show with mostly very short sketches it is inevitable that you will get some sketches that are just not funny. This is certainly the case here with some repeated characters such as the South African mother not very funny.

However there were also some very funny ideas and characters. Perhaps they makers were under pressure to make a certain number of episodes and some items that might have been left out were kept in for this reason. Anyway it was a refreshing change to see some new faces on RTE, rather than the usual suspects.

Not bad for a first series. Hopefully the powers that be will bring them back for another series that might be even better.
