    Coach's Coach

This all starts out with the death of a beloved football coach, beaten to death as he slept. He is a master of cliches and is adored by his team and the entire university. One young man, a star running back with pro potential, is at the center of everything. It all goes back to a party hosted by the head of the booster club. It involves a young woman of questionable morals, going down in a lake in her car and the events that follow.

    Entwinned Cases

When the successful and worshipped Coach Jimmy Miller is found dead in his lawn, Catherine, Nick, Langston and Jim Brass investigate the case. Soon they learn that Miller was beaten to death in his room during the night, and was able to wake-up in the morning to his routine affair until he dies in front of his house. Meanwhile, Sara and Greg are assigned to investigate the death of the hooker Paige Hammer drowned in the passenger sear of a car submerged in the lake. What in principle seems to be independent cases, is found to be connected to each other and with another cold case of Andrew Jimenez, who was found dead in the lake.

"Bloodsport" is an episode of "CSI" with entwinned cases. However, the episode is not engaging, despite the interesting investigation of the forensic investigators. The reason for the death of the charismatic coach used to deal with the players seem to be too stupid. My vote is seven.

    • Trivia
The coach's morning routine right before he dropped dead is reminiscent of the Peter Porco murder.
    • Goofs
In multiple scenes where the CSI team is reenacting the car crash in the lake, the passenger's window is down the above water shots, but in the under water shots, the window is rolled up.
