Manny Jacinto in The Acolyte (2024)

Review by ha77y73ad97

Night

The Acolyte

6/10

This hurts, disney dont care

This whole series is just for disney to push legend stories further and further from the fore front of star wars. You have Dave Filoni tying to return the fandom to a place of harmoney and then this comes along!

Theres no consideration for any canon continuity, Ki-Adi-Mundi in the last episode is one of the last straws for me. To run around a sound stage forrest for half and hour and then somehow keep returning to the same spot from the begining of the episode its just not possible! This is getting as close to the 30 mile runway in Fast and Furious 6 just completely improbable for how this episode is structure.

Yes the lightsaber choriography is better than the sequel triology but that is not a tough bar to beat. All plot points in this whole series are just so predictable. As soon as the doppey store clerk went along on the mission it was going to be obvious that he was the "master" who i think still isnt the lord of the Sith at this time!

Im so happy that we finally lost Yord, never seen a more unlikable character of fake superiority in a series. To top it off Dafne Keen is relegated to a stikler for the rules but wants to push the bonderies has been done with every master and apprentice connection.

I just want better from a franchise that i love.
