Baggage

Just watched the Baggage Show with Jerry Springer for the first time on December 19, 2022. I don't know if it's a rerun or the show is still on...!!!

I have to comment and I usually would not! I don't care if the show is real or not, like I read other people's comments and their own opinions if the show is real or not. People don't care!!! Everybody makes their own mind up and their own opinions!!! Everybody knows this 100 percent!!!

Kudos to the Baggage show, along with Jerry Springer and especially the female contestant on December 19, 2022 that chose the earwax dude that nobody would or thought any of us would, along with her.... You have to applaud/give it to the show, host and contestants, wether it's real or not! The outcome was a stand up applause and kudos to all!

It is an interesting concept and Jerry Springer was very personable which helped the show. He is the quintessential ringmaster.

The bold statements in their baggage are almost always walked back when they get a chance to explain. What is printed becomes 'once, years ago, I did this' or 'for you I would definitely change and not do that'.

I read an article from a 'contestant' on the show and they all get paid no matter who gets picked and it doesn't sound like there is really any date at the end of it.

To get on the show and get paid they need to come up with things that sound bad and that is just what they do.

That said, as fake reality TV goes it is more entertaining than most.

Like other people have mentioned the show appears to be fake like a lot of other TV shows nowadays. To save money they apparently hire actors and make up scripted bad things to say about them to use as their baggage.

The big tip off for me was when I saw well-known pornstar Taylor Wane appear as a contestant using her real first name Joanne and claiming she worked as a makeup artist. She does have a makeup artist certification but she made no mention of her 20 + years in the adult movie biz? It's also known that she has a long time husband or boyfriend named Laurien. At the end of the show she revealed her baggage to be "I live with my bounty hunter ex husband" which was total bs and the guy refused to pick her because of that.

I knew that the show was somewhat scripted, as are most "reality" shows. Yes...Jerry Springer is a bit of a con man but certainly an entertaining one.cant say his stuff is boring.i watch late night for giggles,I've seen much,much worse.

Jerry Springer lately has been attempting to get away from his talk-show and onto other things, usually at the same time. This time around he's tried his charm as the host of Baggage, which is a dating game show where one person has to choose between one of three potential dates based on their baggage. Once the winner has been chosen, that one person must view the original chooser's baggage and see if its acceptable.

Its always interesting to see just what the baggage will be, and with each round the wonderment becomes ever so increasing and shocking. Even if tried with a new host, this show would be watchable but Jerry brings a certain light hilarity and yet sincerity to the show. You'd be surprised just how much the HOST in a game show matters, a perfect example is the decades of Newlywed Game. Speaking of old game shows, baggage is a little bit like Dating Game and Price is Right.
