    Wendy Farewell

In a sunny day in a club in a casino, the swimming pool is crowded; out of the blue, a shark attacks a woman that loses her arm. The CSI investigators try to find how the shark has entered in the pool. While investigating the death, the autopsy and the surveillance tapes indicate that the woman was already dead in the pool, increasing the mystery. The casino owner, Earnest Boozell, who knows Catherine since she was a teenager, accuses his opponent Danny Macklin of being responsible for the shark attack, but the investigation proceeds.

"Pool Shark" is another unreasonable episode of CSI. A shark in a public private pool of a club is another absurd. The woman with overdose of heroin that is attacked by a shark would be tragic, but it is funny. The sad part is the farewell of the sweet Wendy; could have been Hodges instead. Or Ray. My vote is seven.

    Quite Far Fetched

I knew someone would use the "jump the shark" thing. The problem with this episode is that the possibility of pulling off this thing is beyond belief. A girl is injected with heroin while she floats on an air mattress. Then her jewelry is stolen. Elliot Gould is around for interest (always a good actor). But the plot is really lame. For extra interest, we must say goodbye to Wendy and her relationship with Hodges. I thought she was kind of cool. Oh, well.

    • Trivia
Elliot Gould also plays a casino owner in the Ocean's movies.
    • Goofs
During the close up of Dr. Holloway's dead body floating in the aquarium, the fingers of his left hand move about in a manner that shows they are made of rubber or other soft material with no "bones" inside and there is a slight mold crease visible on the inside of his right hand/wrist in the lower left hand corner of the screen.
