Hilarious
One of the best parts of "Crawl Space" is the way it plays up the family's dynamic, especially with Linda's exaggerated horror and the kids' wild imaginations about their dad's mysterious "disappearance." Tina, Gene, and Louise add their own flavor of weirdness as they interact with "Ghost Bob" through the walls, bringing in laughs and showcasing their quirky personalities.
The humor in this episode leans into the darkly absurd, and Bob's growing delusion as he stays in the crawl space is perfectly balanced with the rest of the family's clueless reactions. Although the plot doesn't dive too deeply into emotional territory, it has just enough heart to keep things grounded.
Overall, "Crawl Space" is a hilarious and memorable episode that highlights Bob's Burgers' ability to turn even the simplest setups into laugh-out-loud comedy. It's a solid, funny episode that captures the series' charm, earning a well-deserved 8 out of 10.
Bob's crawl-space adventures
Meanwhile, the rest of the family must endure their guests the best they can. Each character handles the situation in their unique ways that suit their characterization. Louise pretends that her father has died and summons his spirit to haunt her friends. Tina discovers that her grandparents amorous adventures has combined with zombies to haunt her dreams and have caused her to be exhausted during the day. Gene, without his father to assist him with his assignment, does a history report by using sound-bites of his grandparents' love making from his recorder.
Most of us can relate to having guests at our homes that we'd rather not spend much time with. It is enjoyable to see how the Belcher family adapts to their new situation. For those who are familiar with "The Shining" it is fun to see Bob and his light-night have some quirky and devious conversations in the speakeasy Bob discovers.
Two prominent characters are introduced in this episode. The handyman Teddy who tries to rescue Bob and the guidance counselor Mr. Frond who attempts to comfort Louise when she divulges her father's "death". The viewers get their first glimpse of the naive Mr. Frond and the caring, but gullible Teddy. They will play important roles in future episodes, but for now we just get a taste of their quirkiness.
This is one of the best episodes as the problems are resolved in a humorous way where the characters are able to shine.
In-laws
Bob seeking to get away from his in-laws and the awful noises his mother-in-law makes, pretends to be stuck in the crawl space after he fixes the leaky ceiling. This episode also introduces handyman Teddy and guidance counselor, Mr. Frond.
Another classic episode, I loved The Shining references and Tina's misadventures. Hilarious stuff.

- GoofsThe physics in the crawl space don't line up with the rest of the restaurant. At one point we see Bob stick his hand though a vent such that his arm can be seen by others. The vent is right next to the bathroom on the left (Bob's right); however, when we see him inside the crawl space, we see the void extending through where the bathroom should be.
- Quotes
Mr. Frond: Three siblings in detention in two days. Is something happening at home?
Tina: Dad is stuck inside the wall.
Mr. Frond: Is that how he died?
Tina: Dad isn't dead.
Louise: Thanks a lot, Mr. Frond. We were keeping it a secret from her. We were going to tell her on Father's Day. Now we have nothing to do for Father's Day!
