The stasis module that is picked up recharges on its own. The one used in Dead Space does not, and Dead Space takes place after this story.
It should not be possible for a flame thrower to work in space.
Characters wear suits and require an airlock to go outside of the colony, yet there are several incidents when the colony's outer shell is compromised where the outside atmosphere doesn't affect the characters.
Even when there is a second armed character in the room, the Player is usually the only one shooting.
All other team members have full stasis meters even though the Player is the only one with a stasis module.
In Chapter 5, someone asks if any escape pods were left on the Ishumura and the player is told all the escape pods launched empty already. However this is not possible, since in Dead Space (VG) which takes place immediately upon the end of this game, an intact escape pod is still on board the ship not too far from the bridge. It's the pod that Hammond launched with a necromorph inside it.
