Niche topic, even for Greeks
This is a mini documentary regarding a very specific type of traditional Greek music rooted on the northwest region called Epirus. This region suffered in the 20th century due to wars, poverty, migration towards big cities, immigration to other countries and the cold war.
So the people with roots from Epirus have carried this music with them and that's the subject of this documentary. It focuses on a random immigrant in New York obsessed with this music and a famous family of musicians that tries to keep the Epirotic music alive.
It is an extremely niche topic but for the few people interested in it, it's invaluable.
