It was weird seeing Cunk getting international attention after this debuted in late 2022, because this is essentially the same schtick from the BBC days without much difference, it's a solid formula though and winningly foolish throughout. The fake interview format on which it's all glued together with is variable and the success of it depends less on the parade of baffled experts and more Morgan's hypnotically unflappable improv skills. The running joke for some reason is both always surprising and always funny. It's not the most edifying format for spoofing in the 2020s but the team have this bit nailed down.
