Emma Corrin in A Murder at the End of the World (2023)

Review by hanshoff

Chapter 2: The Silver Doe

A Murder at the End of the World

2/10

What a dissapointment

It's like Glass Onion, but without humor and sooo slowly paced.

Lackluster acting. Emma Corrin acts like a pale copy of Jodie Foster in Silence of the Lambs. Had really expected Clive Owen to shine as some kind of evil tech mastermind, but so far zero screen presence. Harris Dickinson does a decent job, though.

Ridiculously slow paced story telling. After 2 episodes, really no progress.

And so many implausible details. How can you be so stupid as to ask the AI butler questions without expecting its owner to listen in? And how can you strip the surveillance hardware apart without surveillance finding out?

The final nail in the coffin for me was the childish discussion of AI use in art. For gods sake, these people are supposed to be the most brilliant minds in the world.
