It's really not a half bad episode but I skip basically every time I rewatch because I cannot stand Heather Taffet. I'm sure the actress is a lovely person but clearly she's too good at her job because I despise her character in this and cannot make myself watch the gravedigger eps with her in them.
To be fair I'm also not a fan of the court room eps in general because the tend to be the worst in terms of Bones's lack social skills and I feel like they always take them too far and I also just find them boring. I'm here for the case and I wanna watch them find clues and track down bad guys. Not sit in court and explain it all after the fact. That's mostly a me thing though and not anything to do with the show really.

This is the trial of the Gravedigger. We know from the start that she is guilty. A very realistic court case is presented to us, but the verdict depends on the death of a little boy whose body has never been found. The Gravedigger always used vocal threats and these were recorded. Things hand tenuously in the balance until these voice recordings come into play. The acting is excellent when we consider the people at the Jeffersonian, Booth, Brennan, and Hodgins, come into play. It's really well done because the woman is a master at verbal manipulation, which is what she used to set up those that are vctimized.
Hey Bones Booth!
I think the writers did a pretty good job with the opening nightmare that Bones is experiencing. Poor Bones, so scary for her What a way to open this intense episode!
Heather Taffet is pure evil. I hate that the judge agrees to throw out a large amount of evidence which leads to Taffet taunting Bones in court about a mysterious number.
Eventually the Jeffersonian team and Booth figure out what the number is and I'm a bit confused how they came to that conclusion but we all know Angela is magical.
I agree with the difficult decision Bones, Hodgins and Booth made in regards to the charges. They did what they had to do for justice.
Best part is the bed bug evidence.
Worst part is when Taffet had evidence manipulated to implicate Angela. Again gravedigger aka Taffet is the worst. How dare she!
Very pleased with the ending although it is a bit sinister how Taffet says this isn't over to Bones in court.
Overall a great episode and I never skip this on a rewatch.

Hi bones booth!
This episode is one of my fav. Re watches - somehow I feel the suspense every time. I think they do a great job of making you hate tafit. Love the whole team pulling together. Love the emotions. Of course we have to ignore that some of this all happens faster than real life - and that even after finding the boy they can just drop their case & work on it. Tony bit of magical evidence / fish moment to booth with the #. Overall great episode but pulls at the heart strings worrying what's going to come of b & b!!! Also love the throwback to her driving away in taxi like 1st case!!

Leon it was determined that officers who perform a search using a warrant obtained in good faith, even if the warrant should not have been issued, the evidence can still be used in court. This is known as the good faith exception to the exclusionary rule.
