Castle

Edit

Continuity

When Beckett receives a phone call from Royce, after she finds out about his involvement in the case, when she sits down, the sleeve of her sweater covers her right hand up to her knuckles. A couple of shots later, her sleeve is around her wrist. Then in the next shot as she starts to turn around in her chair, the sweater is back to covering her hand just below her knuckles. However, when she is completely turned around in the chair, her sleeve has pooled around her hand at the palm where her hand is clutching the phone. All this happens without her ever moving the right hand that is holding the phone or, without her using her left hand to move the sleeve at all.
When Royce tells Beckett he should have shown her mother's killer her boobs instead of killing him, Castle wasn't there. But Castle later made reference to the incident.

Factual errors

In the opening scene, Alexis asks her father to get her a Vespa scooter, for which a driver's license is required. Even if Alexis, at 17, had a license, it wouldn't become valid for driving within New York City until her 18th birthday.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

When Castle knows all about the bug found in the victim's office, Kate asks if it was book research, and Castle replies with nanny cam. However in the season 1 episode, Nanny McDead, it was established that Alexis never had a nanny.

Use of a nanny cam does not necessarily imply the employment of a nanny; it could have been used to monitor babysitters, as a low-cost general security device or even to spy on Alexis.

Revealing mistakes

During Castle and Beckett's visit to the morgue, as Lanie hands them the piece of paper in the victim's sock, you can clearly see the "corpse" give one sudden deep breath.
When Ryan and Esposito bring Beckett files containing potential suspects, the picture shows an African American male, but "C" for Caucasian is listed under race. The Social Security number is short 2 digits, as well.
Beckett locates a hidden microphone inside a electric calculator while searching a victims office. When she opens the calculator the top seems to just pop off without much effort without first removing the screws holding it together.

Character error

At the end Beckett and Castle go to dig up the treasure. It's conveniently forgotten hat she would need a court order to that.
Lanie says that "holy oil" is what is on the victim"s forehead. One can't detect this, as it is simply olive oil that has been blessed by a clerical authority. Once she determined it was olive oil should could simply assumed it was holy used by a priest.
