Higher math meets low comedy in this Pathe short, as a man tries to work out various problems in chalk on whatever flat surface he encounters. Other people, of course, object to having their hats scribbled on, and he takes some hard knocks.
That's the 'plot' behind this half-reel comedy, and it's repeated in several variations. It doesn't quite have time to get old, but if it went on for a full reel, it would have been too much.
