Was a great show
It was a good show. Then apparently drama and rigging the game became more important-like with Khana. In previous seasons if a truck was down someone they had to stay that way, and if a truck made a bad decision then consequences came with it; was not only completely unfair but really sucky to promote that kind of behavior. Also, why just LA? The challenge was more exciting when it wasn't bound to the producer's home town. It meant that during the trips the team had to research the town, figure out local events and possible selling spots, along with looking at what was present and figure out how to make an appealing menu. This took real skill and determination. Please go for quality, real challenges, and kindness. The world is a hot mess enough as it is. Thanks!
A worthy entrant in the reality food genre
The Great Food Truck Race debuted in 2010 and I thought I'd be late in reviewing this on IMDb. But it happens that so far there's only been three user reviews, and all posted in 2020. I like the enthusiasm and passion of the contestants as they develop food truck cuisine to win! Let's have more seasons of The Great Food Truck Race!
What happened
I watched five or six seasons of the show but last year was the worst by far but I kept it on my DVR until 10 minutes into the show this year. I knew they were gonna keep on going like they did last year. What was entertaining for the first few years was good food trucks making good food. That's not what's happening anymore. I really really really wanted this year to go back to the old formula but it didn't. So I will be taking it off of my list of things to watch this summer which is sad because I really enjoyed it the first few years. I wish they would go back to having food trucks selling and not who has the biggest social media, following or social background that you desire to continue on when you know there's no way they wouldn't without some creative producing.
I Thoroughly Enjoyed This Season!
I used to watch "The Great Food Truck Race" when it first began. I sure loved it, but then I forgot about it for a while because, well, "life happened." I started watching one season during either the recession or the pandemic (I can't quite remember). It was a depressing time, and I didn't watch that season from the beginning.
I noticed during the depressing time that Tyler Florence seemed to not be at his best. He had gained weight and I figured he was feeling stressed in life like the rest of us folks were.
This season, Tyler Florence is back and looking great and alive! I loved the teams. I remember other seasons containing quite a bit of drama/arguments that I don't like to watch.
If I am correct, Tyler Florence isn't controlling everything. The winners "must" make the "SALES." If they don't make the top sales, they lose and go home.
When it comes to these types of cooking programs, viewers must remember that WE are not there. We also don't see all the stuff going on behind the scenes. And we get to look at the dishes, but we are not tasting any of them to say whether they are good or bad.
This season's winning team was "top-notch" when dealing with the public. The one guy "outside" their truck was wonderfully sociable and good at connecting with people. He did an excellent job selling their dishes. He had a great, fun personality, as well, and I'm sure there were possibly a lot of people who liked him and also wanted to eat his team's type of food.
One of the earlier teams that was eliminated also had a "good seller" with great people skills. He wasn't shy. However, I thought he was a bit too aggressive when he was approaching people and trying to win them over. It may have hurt their sales.
I trust that "The Great Food Truck Race" ends up with the winning team that is supposed to win, and I am ALWAYS happy for the winners. I love their personal stories. It makes me feel good to see other people achieving their dreams and goals in life.
Congrats to the WINNERS!

the great ?? race
Once a great show.... it just feels that is reduced/catering to uhhh ummmm lets just.say.a show for the 3.5 % of the population. I guess because..... 3.5% of people in hollywood just assume the rest of the 96.5% of us want to watch. Well you are wrong.
This season is really boring, no contestant is likable or relatable in any manner, the food they make lacks inspiration (except for team eso) i am 5 episodes in, and dont really care who win or loses' .
I would also like to see the.dd214 of all 3 of team members of." team southern pride"... all 3.....
