Unfair business practices
Tyler Florence, I have watched every season of The Great Food Truck Race
This season was the most disapointing allowing "Maybe Cheese Born With It" at Glamis, CA
To sell food 90 minutes before anything is ready to serve, acruing tons of extra sales. It caused other trucks to panic and try to do the same. This gave them an unfair advantage as they worked longer then anyone else. When you call it on sales they can still serve up the extra 90 minutes worth of sales.
In past seasons the trucks did all the prep and then opened to sell. Where do you draw the line to make it a fair race?
They won that week by cheating as far as I am concerned!

Show is do rigged ...
Season 15 with the drag queen. RIDICULOUS. AND they keep being moved on! Their food was horrible the first episode - they should have gone home then. Then down the road - they park where there was no business ... along comes Tyler telling them WHERE to move to get business. Nope. That's playing favorites ... and giving a team recommendations that are not fair. It up to the food truck participants to find a good parking spot. So rigged in favor of the drag queens. Pretty much done with this show.
I Thoroughly Enjoyed This Season!
I used to watch "The Great Food Truck Race" when it first began. I sure loved it, but then I forgot about it for a while because, well, "life happened." I started watching one season during either the recession or the pandemic (I can't quite remember). It was a depressing time, and I didn't watch that season from the beginning.
I noticed during the depressing time that Tyler Florence seemed to not be at his best. He had gained weight and I figured he was feeling stressed in life like the rest of us folks were.
This season, Tyler Florence is back and looking great and alive! I loved the teams. I remember other seasons containing quite a bit of drama/arguments that I don't like to watch.
If I am correct, Tyler Florence isn't controlling everything. The winners "must" make the "SALES." If they don't make the top sales, they lose and go home.
When it comes to these types of cooking programs, viewers must remember that WE are not there. We also don't see all the stuff going on behind the scenes. And we get to look at the dishes, but we are not tasting any of them to say whether they are good or bad.
This season's winning team was "top-notch" when dealing with the public. The one guy "outside" their truck was wonderfully sociable and good at connecting with people. He did an excellent job selling their dishes. He had a great, fun personality, as well, and I'm sure there were possibly a lot of people who liked him and also wanted to eat his team's type of food.
One of the earlier teams that was eliminated also had a "good seller" with great people skills. He wasn't shy. However, I thought he was a bit too aggressive when he was approaching people and trying to win them over. It may have hurt their sales.
I trust that "The Great Food Truck Race" ends up with the winning team that is supposed to win, and I am ALWAYS happy for the winners. I love their personal stories. It makes me feel good to see other people achieving their dreams and goals in life.
Congrats to the WINNERS!

What used to be
We used to love food network and their content. This was a genuinely interesting show at one point. Just watched season 18 episode 1 and I see good food is no longer the goal. A few seasons ago they had a drag queen who was more interested in self promoting than cooking and was grifting people for $20 for Kraft mac n cheese. This season theres some IT guys. They are using grandmas recipes. I use bobby flays recipes, that does not make me bobby play. Theywere crying because Muslims have been looked down upon. Some truck serves biscuits with anything you can think of. They have heart attack grill of 4 wheels and other uninspiring cuisine. Zero talent all around.
I get it. Food network is circling the drain. Being replaced by youtube creators who can spit out 20 min videos weekly. The days of Alton Brown, Giada and Bobby are done. Now we get 50 variations of Guy Fieri shows all day. Anyways it's sad to see, but inevitable I suppose.
And who eats from food trucks anyways?

the great ?? race
Once a great show.... it just feels that is reduced/catering to uhhh ummmm lets just.say.a show for the 3.5 % of the population. I guess because..... 3.5% of people in hollywood just assume the rest of the 96.5% of us want to watch. Well you are wrong.
This season is really boring, no contestant is likable or relatable in any manner, the food they make lacks inspiration (except for team eso) i am 5 episodes in, and dont really care who win or loses' .
I would also like to see the.dd214 of all 3 of team members of." team southern pride"... all 3.....
