There is no back story that tells you what side to root for. There is a minor qoute made once that the president abolished the FBI during his third term. Therefore you are left with trying to find a reason to root for the journalists, which never happens. The whole movie you are left with wondering what was going on. You have states that would never align politically but are somehow aligned. While others that are aligned politically are not aligned in the movie. My nineteen year old son watched it, and he didn't get it and told me it wasn't worth watching either. All around this movie is not worth paying for.
