Shifu, the monkey is attacked by Slash and his thugs. Shifu is poisoned and comforted by Fu, the giant white rabbit. Fu is a dim-witted cook. The dying Shifu gives him his kung fu powers and tasked to give his tablet to his daughter Penny, the cat. Fu doesn't realize his new powers and gains work as a cook in Slash's palace. Slach proclaims himself the new kung fu master.
Of course, the comparison to Kung Fu Panda is inevitable and this movie is poorer for it. The animation looks about ten years behind the top level Hollywood work. The character designs also fail. It's mostly poor but a few are downright ugly. The story meanders a little but mostly it lacks any drama. Sadly, Jon Heder's quiet voice work is really weak. On the positive side, there is plenty of fast high-energy kung fu action. Overall, this is a poor attempt to take on the better Hollywood fare.

If you have watched Kung Fu panda, don't watch this. The contrast will be brutally incomparable. The story revolve around a fat rabbit who has acquire the life-long kungfu aura of Shifu (a monkey). The fat rabbit will eventually uphold justice by defeating the bad ass Panda.
Almost the same storyline but a lot more dull and boring. Animation was as poor as what you will see in a mediocre Nickelodeon computer generated graphics. A good analogy will be a wanna-be China made World of Warcraft program.
A recent interview with the voice cast of the movie states that the comparison of this movie with Kungfu Panda is inevitable. It also mean that this movie is as good as the latter having been compared to it. I have a gut feeling that audience will feel cheated should they believe that statement.
So if you want to watch some animation with your kids, watching Nickelodeon isn't a bad idea and the storyline is shorter without the agony of going through a wanna-be movie. By the way, there are better 3D movies out there anyway.

*sits in the corner of the cold shower and cries* Why does this exist? This is what happens if you use Kung Fu panda as toilet paper after going to Taco Bell. This movie needs Jesus This is the Detroit version of kung fu panda. If your family doesn't love you they take you to this movie. This movie contained blackface and ablest slurs, triggering me. I can not say this movie is the g rating it received. The antagonist sounded like he was gargling semen violently. The animation made my eyesight worse. Seriously, name any inanimate object, it was probably animated better than the main characters.
Over all, i would have rather eat led paint than watch this movie.

The other two being The Little Panda Fighter(from Video Brinquedo) and Chop Kick Panda. The worst of the three is The Little Panda Fighter, which is one of "the Asylum of animation"'s worst and among the worst animated movies of all time. Chop Kick Panda is marginally better in the visuals and humour departments but is still not too good in those areas and shares a lot of the same problems that made The Little Panda Fighter as bad as it was. Legend of Kung Fu Rabbit is not as blatant a rip-off as the other two(Chop Kick Panda in places is almost carbon copy) and has a decent soundtrack and Michael Clarke Duncan who tries his best, but to be perfectly honest he did deserve better material, redeeming it somewhat. But to say that it is the least bad of the three is not really a compliment because it is still very bad and is infinitely inferior to Kung Fu Panda, which was actually good and was entertaining. The animation has a lot of blocky character designs, lifeless colours and backgrounds that are severely lacking in detail and care. The slightly good news though is that it's not as bad as the animation in The Little Panda Fighter(if you've seen Ratatoing the animation's in that is pretty much the same quality). The jokes and dialogue are rather childish and lame with little that will appeal to kids and adults, but Legend of Kung Fu Rabbit deserves a little credit for having a better idea of what its target audience is than the other two did. The story is not involving at all, the lack of originality I can forgive, but having a plot so slight that is stretched out so much over the running time causing many scenes to drag badly is not forgivable. The lack of interesting or likable characters is noticeable too, as is with the exception of Duncan the bad voice acting. Especially Jon Heder who constantly sounds bored, if he was trying to imitate somebody it certainly back-fired because this was severely phoned-in stuff. Rebecca Black is annoying and out of place as well. To conclude, very bad but there is worse. 2/10 Bethany Cox
We watched this movie on our way back home from a vacation. It was horrible. One thing that bothered us is that the lipping was WAY off. We don't know if it was originally a Chinese movie but was translated to English, but if it was I don't blame it. It also had very poor voice actors, (ex. Rebecca Black) I am actually a big fan of Jon Heder but this was a huge disappointment. It was actually so bad that we only watched the first 10-15 minutes of it. We watched it before we watched Horrid Henry (which turned out to be the worst movie I have ever seen in my life) and we even managed to watch THAT (the whole movie) but this movie was not good at all and isn't worth the money to rent or buy it. Don't watch.
