I must say, that i did expect this cartoon to be of decent quality. After all, someone associated the slightest bit to The Simpsons is supposedly involved, so that sounded pretty good at start. After watching through the first and hopefully last, seasons episodes, i am loss for words how horrible this is.
Don't get me wrong, i am in no way some expert critic as regarding to shows on TV, or cartoons for that matter, but this show must have some of the worst played out stereotypical characters there is. The bored teenager, the one black family, the dimwit father, and the list goes on and on. I don't know where unoriginality ends and plagiarism begins, but this is quite close to plagiarism. The similarities between this, most characters of The Simpsons/Family Guy/Cleveland Show/American dad is unreal.
If i could, i would've given this show zero stars. But since it IS awful as the one star vote says, that's what it has to be then.

I was watching South Park on VIVA and for some reason Crash Canyon came on instead of one of the South Park episodes, being lazy as hell I didn't want to change the channel and just watched the Crash Canyon episode, this was possibly one of the strangest experiences of my life. I don't know if it was because I had just watched about 4 episodes of South Park but the stale, boring humor, bland, annoying voices and seriously unoriginal and unfunny characters literately made me feel sick, I'm honestly not joking, the jokes were so unfunny that I found myself cringing through at least 80% of the episode, I may be a bit quick to judge seeing as I've only seen the one episode but after reading other user's reviews, it seems I'm not the only one who dislikes this program. I can see where it tried with the randomness and attempted LOL moments but unfortunately it failed miserably, so much so that I made an account just to leave this review. If you're looking to roll on the floor laughing I suggest South Park or newer Family Guy episodes.
Maybe as an Albertan I'm a little biased but I enjoyed this show, while also understanding it's pitfalls.
When it comes to comedy I enjoy outlandish characters, and in Crash Canyon there is a whole host of wild a goofy characters, and it's this shows greatest strengths, in fact I think this show does better than most when it comes or having a good cast of oddities. Every character is uniquely enjoyable, and there's very few shows I can say do that .Unfortunately, that's the show's only strength.
The animation is quite terrible, though I never minded it, but more egregiously no episode and a memorable plot. The setting was rather fun though.
I personally would've like to see more from this show as I value odd characters the most, but I'm not delusional: I understand why it was had a short shelf-life.

We binge-watched the entire series... and... we still aren't quite sure what the point was. It was almost like the Family Guy formula was used for Gilligan's Island. None of the characters come anywhere near to being likeable; if we chuckled more then 4 or 5 times the entire series I'd be amazed.
Also... mentioning Saskatchewan and Montreal 5 or 6 times is the ONLY Canadian content in this. Nearly every character is clearly an AMERICAN stereotype, and the landscape is clearly SW USA.
If you want to see the people version of "Confuse-A-Cat", watch this.

Crash Canyon is definitely not as bad as the series is often said to be. Sure, there are more than obvious bonds to Family Guy and American Dad, but the original premise is fun. Do you know the situation when episodes appeared in the aforementioned cartoon classics that you had hoped the series makers would devote themselves to the topic in more detail? Crash Canyon looks like the Canadians clearly have this need. The premise is funny and personable, but not exploited enough. Instead, stories from everyday life are told, as they could have happened outside of the canyon. The animations are satisfactory, but significantly less detailed than the American greats of the genre. The characters are paler, but still sufficiently amiable and about every third episode makes you laugh or at least smile. The series is really supported primarily by the premise. The intro is short and cool, so no idea why so much is being hacked into here. The same goes for the simple but suitable background music.
