The CG is awful, the acting isn't all that good (for the most part.
The filmography is actually decent; I don't know anyone who could reproduce this movie with a $1000 budget. (I am a credentialed photographer for Formula Drift)
THE BAD:
-Since when is the RX7 called an MX5?
-Why does the green RX7 turn into a green S14?
-How is a 350Z an $80K car? Or even close to stock reach speeds of 190+? (sorry for not quoting here)
How on earth can you expect it to take on a GTR? (At least they were correct on what it was)
So basically, this movie sucks if you are a car person. And you probably won't be watching this if you aren't... But it's not like a bunch of kids just thew this together.

The computer graphics in the car scenes were so bad for a movie made this year that it totally disrupted me from the scene content itself because i was laughing so much! You will see that in some parts of the movie it looks literally like the movie cuts to someone playing a bad computer simulation. to top it off bad acting, weak characters and simple and stupid car tech talk that would have been better left unsaid. This is how it is, I too joined just to comment on how bad this movie is. If you want a cool car flick - then run the other direction. If you like to laugh at recycled crap pull up a very comfortable couch you may wake up 7 hours later if you don't have the option to fast forward.
this movie amazed me so much that i really don't know how to start my review and even wondered if it worths people to write reviews.
first of all, the poor casting and the poor screenplay: both sons looked already over 20 yrs old, the elder brother even looked like reached the 30s, and their mother was still a stripper, a so-called exotic dancer in a strip nightclub? so lets figure out how it was possible that her 2nd son was eligible for a high school graduate applying for college? so suppose it was as the screenplay described, if her 2nd son was 18 yrs old, when did she have the first son? and her first son almost looked reaching 30.....well, unless she had her 1st son when she was 13 and had her 2nd son when she was....eh....well, 16? otherwise how could you accept that she was still able to do the job as a strip dancer? with two son looked and acted like in the 30 and 25, no matter how she tried, she'd in the age of 45 or 55, might hold the world record as the oldest striper still working every night.
this poor screenplay could even okayed into production only meant: the screenplay writer(s), the director and the producers didn't even know what the racing cars should be. they didn't even know what is what, just wanted to fool people to believe their movie was in the same genre and same level of 'fast and furious' or other less superior car racing movies. but it's not, it's pure garbage.
and as for the acting? well, one word to nail the coffin tight: 'horrible'! and i just wish that most of the actors in this movie would leave the movie industries asap, 'cause there's definitely no future in it, especially those two guys who played the brothers. they were just horrible to watch.
nothing worth reviewing further, kinda wasting time. i rest my case.

This movie actually has a lot of things going for it. A good hero car, an antagonist who appears quite untouchable in the R35, hot girls, and even a decent plot line.
The things which it doesn't have in it's corner are cheap special affects, lame writing, and b-movie casting. But even these things can be overlooked and the movie could have been enjoyable if it weren't for one huge flaw.
The attention to detail. Anyone who is into the import scene will want to literally scream at the blatant disregard and respect for the import scene. Here are just a few mistakes I can think of off the top of my head.
The 370z's specs and stats are completely wrong as is the price. While driving to the first race scene the older brother's car magically becomes an R35. The antagonist R35 has the same specs as the 370z's, nearly word for word.During the race between the older brother and the antagonist they are constantly overtaking each other, but it doesn't show when or where this happened. When the brother crashes he is now in a 350z, not a 370z. When the girl mechanic brings her "blueprints" for what she wants to do to the FD RX-7, it literally looks like a child from pre-school drew them. Why the hell would she show that trash? And the hero is all like "this'll work," LOL! While talking about the hero car and also in the junkyard they refer to the hero car as an MX-5, then when he visits the Mexican gang leader it's an RX-7. 8. The hero ask "can I take a look at it," referring to the crashed RX7 the Mexican gang leader has. He then lift up the tarp from the front of the car, looks for 3 seconds, and then says "well the NOS system is still intact." Whiskey Tango Foxtrot! Where the hell was the thing canister mounted? On the bumper? No wonder his car fell apart! While testing the RX7, the hero goes from an RX& to a 240sx with the same color pant. I mean really, thought you would slip that one by us huh?
Overall it's just a simple lack of attention to detail, and more over any care for the final product. The movie is awful, and I can't believe a movie company would release something this unpolished. Whoever made this movie should never be allowed to make another one, because from what I saw they just don't care about their own vision. Maybe working in the mailroom is more up their alley.

This Movie Sucks, The acting, The quality, The story which is nonexistent, ALL TERRIBLE!! Holy crap if I can save you one hour and a half movie session this would be it. I have actually loved some movies that people gave bad reviews so I have a very broad spectrum of acceptance when it comes to movies. This one on the other hand I could have filmed with my cell phone at a McDonald's parking lot. It's just crap, they just took what every other racing movie had and tried to copy them with no effects and crappy actors. I don't know what else I could possibly tell you to describe what this is not going to do for you.

- GoofsThroughout the film, Rick is building a Mazda RX7 FC. During his "test drive" scenes, he drifts into a corner in the RX7, but exits driving a Nissan Silvia S14. This may be due to the fact that the "hero" car was stolen during production.
