    Dull movie, dull ending

I'm not going to bother with a long review, since this movie isn't worth it.

I saw this lying around in the store for a dollar, seemed liked a good deal, as the summary on the case sounded pretty good, plus a porn star in a main role? I was expecting gore and sex, but in the end found non of that.

For a movie of this genre, Villa Captive starts off slow, and never really gets exciting. Personally, I'd say the actors did their job pretty well, nothing seemed overacted, however the storyline was poorly executed. At no point was it hard to guess what happens next, I didn't fall asleep while watching, but how this movie got a mature rating is beyond me, I've seen bloodier movies on TV during the afternoon.

The worst part was the ending, come on, there was no twist, no special event...no nothing.

Last but not least, the obligatory Entertainment: 2/10 Violence: 1/10 Sex: 0.5 for boobs/10

first main lead for ex porn star

Just pick up this DVD to see what's on the cover. Uncut Uncensored. Well, there's northing to be uncut or uncensored because there's nothing to be cut. The main lead, ex porn star Liza Del Sierra here under her real name Emillie Delauney doesn't reveal a thing. Okay, her boobs do pop up now and then but there's no need to cut that out. They are indeed a mega blast but in each movie you can see that kind of nudity.

Explicit Content there's written on the sleeve, can somebody tell me where I could find that content?

In the tradition of I Spit On Your Grave, not for a moment it was, and The Woman, huh, guess they've seen another flick called The Woman.

Acting was terrible here and there. It started off so pretty well by knowing the guys and girls but once pictures are taken from the topless neighbour things go wrong. Sadly not for us. Blah blah blah, and you have to wait almost until the last 10 minutes before the red stuff comes in.

But there's a message in this flick. Ex porn stars can act if they want to and most important they were always shouting 'retard'. Guess that's the message, you are retarded if you think you are going to see what's written on the sleeve of the DVD.

    A retard? Seriously?!?

"Villa Captive" proudly shows off with the gimmick of featuring an actual adult film star, but in fact it's one of the absolute worst entries in the so-called Rape & Revenge sub genre ever made. And that does mean quite a lot, since this sub genre is literally full of stinkers! The (admittedly gorgeous) Liza Del Sierra stars as a French porn star in Florida, but she's fed up with the business and breaks with her agent. She moves into a luxury villa to enjoy the rest of her stay, but naturally she doesn't manage to remain incognito. Some acquaintances of the landlord's adolescent son recognize her and plan to rob her. The plan obviously gets out of hand and robbery turns into home-jacking, complete with torture and physical abuse. The gang of hoodlum rapists also includes a porn-obsessed retard. A retard? Seriously?!? Could they possibly have ripped off "I Spit on your Grave" more blatantly than by involving a retard? Even more unforgivable than featuring this dreadful cliché is the fact that "Villa Captive" is an utterly dull and uneventful piece of junk! From a rape & revenge flick starring a real porn actress you would expect graphic sex sequences and outrageous violence, but it's tame and ridiculous instead. Are we really supposed to believe that it nearly takes two full days before a trio of perverted thugs even touches a scantily dressed babe with giant breasts who lies tied up to the bed? All they do is sit around and watch TV. The only bit of action and bloodshed comes at the very end, but the make-up effects are laughable and tacky, as is the assumption that we would believe that the nerdy kid with giant braces on his teeth suddenly turned into a bloodthirsty and merciless avenger. Liza Del Sierra is a decent actress, perhaps thanks to her thick French accent, and she does show her voluptuous breasts a couple of times during the film. Of course, the Internet is full of naked breasts, including hers, so this shouldn't be a reason for wanting to check out "Villa Captive". In fact, there isn't any good reason to check out this movie at all. It's stupid, boring and incompetent all over.

    Torture

I guess the movie deserves the "torture" tag, but for all the wrong reasons. The German distributor made this sound enticing, because they added "Martyrs" on the cover. I don't know what they were thinking, but Martyrs is more than gore and effects. Some people might like it for only those things (I don't count myself to that group), but you can see that the filmmaker was trying to say something there.

Back to this one, where the main actress is not the main problem. For those of us who didn't know it, she is (was?) in the adult film industry. While I wouldn't say she's a great actress, I thought the performance was at least slightly better than the one given by Sasha Grey in "Smash Cut". I didn't watch the Girlfriend Experience, but I still wonder where all that hype came from.

The acting overall is not really good, but it's the story structure that really puts this movie to rest. And don't get me started on the anti-climactic ending. This makes "I spit on your grave" look like the Citizen Kane of that "particular genre". And that's not a compliment for either of those movies ...
