Awful noise

The annoying noise in the end ruined a good episode.

Betrayal on the Block

Top Boy's second episode on Netflix is a firecracker, folks... pure crime thriller juice that keeps you glued.

Hackney's estates are a pressure cooker, and Dushane and Sully are cooking under it. After last episode's drug deal cock-up, they're dodging bullets and bad calls, and it's a proper rush.

The acting? Top-notch. Ashley Walters' Dushane is all steely ambition, every glance a calculated move, while Kane Robinson's Sully is a live wire: raw, reckless, magnetic. Young Ra'Nell (Malcolm Kamulete) brings quiet depth, stealing scenes without trying. The direction, led by Yann Demange, is taut, with gritty visuals that make the estate a character itself... claustrophobic, alive, menacing.

Ronan Bennett's script is a banger: slang-drenched dialogue pops, though a couple of side plots feel like extra baggage. The pacing's relentless, save for a slightly overstuffed middle. That betrayal twist? A gut-punch. The soundtrack's grime beats pulse perfectly, and the cinematography (moody, in-your-face) nails the vibe. Not perfect, but bloody close. If crime's your bag, this is a hit.
