    Pretty solid episode.

Judgement is the name of episode 5 of Person of Interest. The plot of this one focuses on Reese and Finch trying to save a judge's kidnapped son. There wasn't any flashback sequences on Reese's past or Finch.

There were little hints in this episode that Finch is letting Reese in more.

    So far, The Best Episode

Finch tells Reese that the machine gave the number of the renowned Judge Samuel Gates, a tough man in his decisions. Finch and Reese find that the judge is a widower and an honest man with a son, Sam. He recently lost his wife, who died of cancer, and Sam's nanny Christina Rojas loves the boy and gives all the support that the family needs. Reese follows Samuel, and suddenly he feels that the victim could be Sam. When Reese arrives at the judge's home, he fights the kidnappers from the SP-9 gang. One of them shoots at him but the bullet grazes his shoulder and Reese faints. He pays a visit to Christina and finds her murdered. Reese visits Judge Gates, and the kidnappers ask him to release Angela Markham in her judgement. The case is a trial of hit-and-run while driving under influence and not the trial of one of the SP-9 gang members. Reese asks Samuel to not release an amber alert and buy more time for him with the kidnappers stalling the trial. He explains that the greatest chance to keep Sam alive is the duration of the judgement. Meanwhile, Finch learns that Angela Markham has developed a laundry system and the money of the MS-13, the Sinaloa Cartel, and The Dictator of North Korea are at the stake.

"Judgement" is, so far, the best episode of "Person of Interest". The plot has great twists and what seemed to be a simple hit-and-run case, turns into abduction and laundry cases. The woman, who seemed to be an executive in minor trouble, is indeed the mastermind of the whole plan. The dirty Detective Lionel Fusco is now assigned to create diversion to the honest Det. Carter to keep her away from Reese and Finch. The conclusion shows an improvement of the relationship of Finch and Reese. My vote is nine.

    Title (Brazil): "Judgement"

At 21 :46 the crime scene photo of bullet hole is marked as 3' 11" high. When John Reese dug the bullet from the wall it was shoulder high and later Detective Carter had to look up at it. However, the notation in the file indicates the bullet hole is 3'11" above something, which indicates the measurement wasn't taken from the floor. The 3'11" would appear to be the height of the bullet hole above the hallway table, making it one of many measurements taken by forensics to enable scene recreation.

      John Reese: What's good here?

Harold Finch: That won't work, Mr. Reese.

      John Reese: What won't?

      Harold Finch: Your interrogation technique.

John Reese: "What's good here"? It's an innocent question.

Harold Finch: No question is ever innocent from you. You're trying to determine whether I come here often. Armed with that knowledge, you'll try to figure out where I live.

      John Reese: You're paranoid, Finch.

      Harold Finch: With good reason.
