    • Trivia
During Professor Farnsworth's flashback, in his childhood bedroom there is a large poster showing a single element of the Periodic Table - element 117, named Farnsium (Fa). It is not made clear whether this is just personalized merchandise, or an indication that the 14 year-old Hubert Farnsworth had indeed isolated it himself and had it named after him. When the episode was made, element 117 had been isolated only two years previously but not yet named. In 2016 it was named Tennessine, after the US State of Tennessee.
    • Goofs
Why are Leela and Amy so put off by the professor being naked in a tub of water when in an episode from another season it was established it's perfectly normal to strip nude at the beach and that's exactly what the professor and all did and at that time Leela and Amy were fine with it?
    • Quotes

Philip J. Fry: Hey, why are they hooked up like that? Is it some kind of Craftmatic Adjustable Death Bed?

Turanga Leela: Ah, ho ho, don't be rediculous. Their bodies are being used to generate electricity. The idea came from an old movie called 'The Matrix'.

Bender: But-but - wouldn't almost anything make a better battery than a human body? Like a potato? Or a battery?

Philip J. Fry: Plus, no matter how much energy they produce, it would take more energy than that to keep them alive.

Turanga Leela: I know, I know - it sounds absurd. In fact, when 'The Matrix' first came out, it seemed like the single crummiest, laziest, most awful dim-witted idea in the entire history of science fiction. But it turned out to be true.

      Philip J. Fry: Who knew.

Bender: Good work, writer of 'The Matrix'.
