It was amazing and the first 3/4 were really enjoyable however after Leighton left and it generally got stale, it became more of a 5/10.
Sad that they lost such a great thing. Watched all of them but was left a bit disappointed towards the end

The first two seasons were funny but after Leighton left the show it was very poor.
Emigrated to Brisbane, Australia from the UK in 1991. Love UK shows and in particular love this show. Love the location, characters and their lives. All individuals, all unique and all absolutely lovely.
Are UK supermarkets like this? I hope so ............ get me a job there and I will be back over like a shot :-)

I started watching the show a few weeks back and am at the end of season 3. I found this show really difficult to rate for the below reason:
Season 1 - 8 Season 2 -7.5 Season 3 - 4
What happened in season 3? The introduction of Richard France was, in my opinion, the worst thing to happen to the show. His character is just awful, over the top, annoying and unfunny.
The charm of the show in the earlier seasons was that it felt like a mocumentary of a super market but by season 3 the feeling of the show has changed. Shame.

Every episode is hilarious and well worth the watch. This is set in a supermarket called Valco. Left in the incapable hands of Julie, who struggles to win round the staff that she really wants to like her. Julie is also madly in love with her ex boss who by mistake lets her believe they might get together, only for her to always take things the wrong way. A lot of the staff who work there are so different from each other, from posh people to the most vile and lazy people you could meet. All together with exaggerating Andy on the meat stall, this works brilliantly. Leighton who is a little bit special is a firm favourite with viewers, as he just messes everything up and makes every ones job harder, but he's that nice, he just can't be sacked. A comedy i can't wait to see again. Looking forward to the third series. A different and refreshing comedy.
