An inconsistent mess of an episode

Even as a big 'My Family' fan I found very little to like about the 11th series, feeling that with the kids all grown up and moved out there was very little still to talk about.

This episode has a good premise, Susan's Dad trying to buy her out of her marriage. There are nice moments in it, albeit not many belly laughs.

Sadly though in their need to find a use for the other characters we get another attempt at black comedy in the B story, with Michael pretending to be dying. It stinks of desperation, and provides little to no laughs.

The 10th series was not too bad. I've no idea what went wrong with the 11th. Lots is the answer!
