    A very memorable episode

This was a very good episode. I saw it on the original run and now another 10 years later. I enjoyed the flashbacks to were each character was on 9/11. I remember what I was doing; how can you forget that. There were a few inconsistencies but continuity has a tough job.

It's not very often you get to see Adam in a very heartfelt scene because he is usually a complete goofball, albeit a very dependable one. There were many people around the world and in this country who likely missed it first hand. Then there are millions who did and for them, including me, the world stood still during that time.

I did appreciate the flashback to Jo in Washington because, though the entirety of the events horrifying, the attack on the Pentagon and United Flight 93 can be overlooked.

The scene when Mac and Claire are talking on the phone just before the 2nd hit was chilling. In a matter of a few seconds, she is gone. Mac joining the team of lab techs trying to identify remains and the conversation he and a tech had was very moving.

I have to say, I totally agree with "LovesAStateOfMind"'s comment about Danny's uniform as a sergeant made me laugh because it also made ME giggle. I told my husband as we are watching it that Danny didn't "fit" that uniform. Some actors can convincingly play a cop; he can't. He looked like someone trying to dress up in costume.

The most heartbreaking in real life - there are 1,106 bodies still unidentified at the 20 year mark. So sad that the families of those people still have no closure. There are roughly 36 cities in New York alone that have that many people (give 50 either may). Imagine one of those towns being wiped off the map and can't found!!!

    Looking back-looking forward

I can still remember exactly where I was when I heard what happened on September 11, 2001, as I'm sure most of us can. Watching the news unfold in total disbelief and horror. The emotions still run deep.

I am watching this episode a few days after the 911 remembrance in 2020. The world is in the biggest mess it has been in since that time. Covid-19 has changed everything. Once again, things are so surreal that no one really knows what to do. The seemingly impossible has happened again. A virus has taken over. There is political unrest and rioting in the streets. People are dying and there seems no certain relief or answers in sight. Just shock and searching for hope.

I wish so much that we could all come together as we did then. After 911 people set aside differences and reached towards each other for healing. That has not happened as of yet during these troubled times. Hopefully it will soon.

    • Goofs
Right after the woman from the bar is arrested the scene shifts to Sid in the autopsy room. The victims feet are visible and he clearly moves his third toe.
    • Quotes

Mac Taylor: For the last four months, it has been my honor and privilege to be a part of something so important and that I am truly proud of. To contribute a little bit to so many who lost so much. These 417 first responders, the portraits of their faces etched in granite and honored here on this Brooklyn Wall of Remembrance, will live in our hearts forever. Ten years have passed since that tragic day. Many of us here have been personally affected and share a loss. And so, once more, we pause and we pray, and we will continue to do so as each anniversary passes. In helping to finish this memorial, I've met some truly remarkable people. And we've had the opportunity to meet with many of you who generously shared your thoughts and feelings on how best to remember these fallen heroes who demonstrated such unmitigated courage and selflessness. The effort to build this Wall of Remembrance has been a great blessing, as we attempt to heal our broken hearts. And here today we gather, a people united not only in our grief, but in our resolve to stand together as one family of Americans. God bless these brave souls who served so selflessly. They will never be forgotten.
