I HAVE SEEN TONS OF REVIEWS WITH ONLY ON SHORT SENTENCE. BUT I AM FORCED TO WRITE MORE THAN WHAT IS NEEDED! SHAME ON IMDB!!!!!!!!!!!@@
There were a lot of loopholes in the whole story, especially in the beginning when the girl meets the antagonist. The other victims felt like fillers, as if they didn't know what else to do. Some scenes, I felt, were unnecessary.
The actors are not going to get any awards any time soon because of this movie, but they're tolerable. The effects, sound and cinematography are surprisingly good for something that looks low-budget. The idea of the story is actually laden with a lot of potential, and I did like the twist in the end, but the coherence of it's entirety is another thing. I truly wish they have modified it more, because it would have made one helluva horror flick.
This contains a fair amount of blood and some gore. There are a few torture scenes that can be considered mild compared to movies like Hostel. Personally, I'm not a fan of torture movies, but this one was tolerable.
All in all, it's an okay movie to watch if there's nothing else. But I doubt it will be remembered five minutes after the end credits.
I will warn its sick and disturbing, but not any worse than any other torture horror. And if you're like me, the disturbing aspect is a positive. I really enjoyed the lead actress, thought she had a lot of personality.
Definitely not a movie for those who don't enjoy torture horror films. I've heard a lot of people didn't understand the ending, but its not very complicated if you can follow simple clues, especially in the dream sequences.
Only can think of one unanswered question and its really a minute detail: The car at the end. Not going to give anything away, but if you watch you'll see what I mean.
A+ for low budget torture porn.
