I wish I knew the song!

A good solid episode, with plenty of action and interaction. I have realised that the absence of the abrasive presence of Agent Hunter made it, for me, more watchable. I have confidence that she's one of the Good Guys - Hetty nominated her for her position in OSP - but somehow she just doesn't fit. Perhaps all will be clarified in a later episode. It was good to see Callen get partial closure as to his history, in the discussion with Hetty at the end. The fact that Hetty could give him no information about his father opens this story line to continue, and further binds our sympathies to Callen. I wish I knew the song including the line "i wish there was more than this empty feeling" playing over Callen's contemplation at the end - it and the musicians deserve a credit. There are suggestions on the web that it might have been by Zac Brennan, but I haven't been able to find evidence to warrant entering it as a Soundtrack.

Trivia
When Deeks and Kensi leave to visit a Libyan restaurant, Callen asks then to being him back baklava. Baklava is either a Persian or Turkish dish, depending who you ask, but Libya has its own version. "Libyan baklava" barely resembles the original, containing rose water and several types of cream instead of nuts and honey, but it shares the same name. Possibly because the construction is similar (baklava means to wrap, or pile) even though the fillings differ.

Goofs
Hetty tells Callen that in 1944 his grandfather went to Romania to "help King Michale I overthrow the fascists who'd sided with Hitler". However this historically impossible. King Michale I didn't overthrown anybody, he was the king. He simply explained the situation to his parliament and military leaders, had his Prime Minister (a friend and loyal supporter of Hitler) imprisoned and took over control of the army. It took less than a day. Up until 1944 Romania was part of the Axis and fully supported the Nazis. Until King Michale I realised that the Axis couldn't win the war and switched sides to protect his country.
