Cyberstalker (2012)

Goofs

Cyberstalker

Edit

Factual errors

Standard deadbolt locks cannot be controlled electronically.

Revealing mistakes

Along with typical departures from realism in computer interfaces: the end of the address "241 Eagle Creek Rd." is often displayed as "Pd." (the screen also uses ordinal o, not quite a degree symbol, for not only degrees but minutes and seconds in geographic coordinates which are themselves for a location 100 miles away from Philadelphia), and about halfway through, another interface for the stalker's call trace shows the street number as 2441.

Miscellaneous

When Dayton pulled up the files on his computer showing the personal information of both Paul Rogers and Detective John Bonham, the personal and business phone numbers in each file were exactly the same.

Anachronisms

Several computer-related things in the 1999 prologue are too modern, like the detective's reference to "social networking" and the email interface that is about 5 years too early.

Character error

In his first scene, neither pronoun is correct in Jack's reference to running background checks on everyone working on the case, "yourself and I included". Yourself is reflexive although "you" is not the subject, and since this is an absolute expression it should use objective case: "you and me included".
