Got My Personal Favourite Scene Of The Show!!
But even though I think Rains Of Castimere is the best episode of the show. I think this Episode has the best scene of the show.
Redefining a character
The bathtub scene with Brienne and Jamie is maybe one the best scenes in the show, next to another in season 3. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is actually phenomenal, revealing a grey area in Jamie Lannister's past and showcasing so much depth to his character. Gives me chills.
Kissed by Fire , S3 EP5 review
Pros :
- episode starts with an engaging 1v1 which immediately grabs the audience's attention as the opponents bashed through the environment, obligating sheild the the excitement rises up from the beginning of the episode.
- a twist occurring which widely open a new magical avenue .
- great dialogue between smart characters elevates the level of the episode even higher .
- character development is perfect as we learn more about one of the most interesting characters background story with an extraordinary acting and dialogue which results in a 10/10 scene .
- the episode ends with a great family-fight scene which showcase more of the characters characteristics in a top class scene .
Cons :
- I can't find anything to take on the episode. Its just too perfect !

The one scene that always stand out in this episode.. the one i always think about, is Jaime telling the truth about why he killed the mad King, to Brienne!
We have gotten small hints and pieces scattered through out the first seasons, but this was the moment we got the full picture!
The moment we understood WHY he did, which fundamentaly changes our entire perception of his character within just one scene! This is incredible writing paid off masterfully!
I also feel like i have to mention Jon and Ygritte in the case, which comes pretty close to be equally memorable! Its just a beautifull moment between two characters!
Game of Thrones: S3E5 "Kissed by Fire" Review - King Cadmium
What I Liked:
As usual, it's impossible not to be impressed by the high-quality production value. Again, acting all around is solid.
While there are many characters and arcs to establish, it's remarkable how this show balances them all, with no scene or storyline feeling dragged out or unnecessary.
Jamie's scene with Brienne in the hot tub was superb, adding so much depth to his character. He will continue to progress positively as the show continues.
What I Disliked:
I am not a fan of the magical elements, removing the sense of realism this show has built, even in the fantasy genre.
Overall:
Game of Thrones delivers yet another fantastic episode, unsurprisingly. You would be hard-pressed to find a show more tautly written and produced.

[Brienne jumps on her feet furiously, looking at Jaime offended. Jaime looks at her naked body, then lowers his head]
Jaime Lannister: That was unworthy. Forgive me. You protected me better than most...
Brienne of Tarth: [quietly] Don't you mock me.
Jaime Lannister: I'm apologizing. I'm sick of fighting. Let's call a truce.
Brienne of Tarth: You need trust to have a truce.
Jaime Lannister: I trust you.
[Brienne sits back, looking at Jaime loathingly]
Jaime Lannister: There it is. There's the look. I've seen it for seventeen years on face after face. You all despise me. Kingslayer. Oathbreaker. A man without honor. You've heard of wildfire?
Brienne of Tarth: Of course.
[Jaime tells Brienne what has happened in that fateful day he killed Aerys. Brienne listens intently]

He burned Hands who disobeyed him. He burned anyone who was against him. Before long, half the country was against him. Aerys saw traitors everywhere. [Brienne does not answer. Jaime continues his story]
Jaime Lannister: First, I killed the pyromancer. And then, when the king turned to flee, I drove my sword into his back. "Burn them all," he kept saying "Burn them all". I don't think he expected to die. He... he meant to... burn with the rest of us and rise again, reborn as a dragon to turn his enemies to ash. I slit his throat to make sure that didn't happen. That's where Ned Stark found me.
Brienne of Tarth: If this is true... why didn't you tell anyone? Why didn't you tell Lord Stark?
Jaime Lannister: [bitterly] Stark? You think the *honorable* Ned Stark wanted to hear my side? He judged me guilty the moment he set eyes on me. By what right does the wolf judge the lion?
[Jaime starts to stand]
Jaime Lannister: [furiously] By what right?
[Jaime, too weak to stand on his feet, stumbles and falls into the water. Brienne manages to catch him before he drowns]
Brienne of Tarth: [shouts] Guards! The Kingslayer!
Jaime Lannister: [whispers painfully] Jaime... my name is Jaime.
