By far the best episode in the entire season!

And Now His Watch Is Ended is by far the best episode in the entire season, but it's not the only one (I'll get to the last two episodes of Season 3 later). The pacing's much tighter, the story/script is still well-written, the performances are still solid, the relationships still shine, the directing and editing is still nice, and the scenery's still gorgeous.

There are no problems I have with this episode because after three great episodes for Season 3, this is really starting out even more fresher than I thought. So, overall, the best episode in the entire season and does a great job continuing the story lines so neatly.

    Superb Action Filled Episode

How much can one squeeze in a fifty minute session. We have the freeing of Theon and his savior being something unexpected. Joffrey begins to be influenced by his bride to be. Tyrion is researching again, trying to find proof of his potential murderer. There is a mutiny. And, ultimately, we see Dany asserting her authority, working a system and playing on the idea of freedom. Meanwhile, Jaime has been abused to the nth degree. He has been forced to drink horse urine and shoved in the mud. But his companion brings back a possibility of dignity for him. It's interesting how those who were despicable can pull at our hearts when their adversaries prove even worse. Cersai is up to no good and tries to gain some modicum of respect. She will endure. We can see that.

    Left me BREATHLESS!

My god.. what an absolutely incredible episode! I kind of always forget just how GOOD this episode is whenever i am watching it! I always find a reason to just like it a little more everytime!

So many great things happen! Both major events, as well as incredible and defining moments of character, from Jamie copping with the loss of his identity, to Danerys stepping up as a clever, awe inspirerende leader and a beacon of justice!

The stuff at Crasters keep, was equally part shocking as it was intense!

The finale scene in Astapor however is what steals everything! Probably the most satisfying sequence of events up till this point!

The complete transformation of Daenerys into a leading character

The title says it all. A perfect episode with a strong finale. Among the best of the season, without a doubt.

    • Goofs
After Theon is rescued by Ramsay in the woods, he jumps over a wall and walks down a tunnel and a corridor. During this time he never limps, although his feet were severely injured during his torture.
    • Quotes

Theon Greyjoy: I murdered those boys.

      Ramsay Snow: The Stark boys?

Theon Greyjoy: Never found them. Just some poor orphans living with a farmer. I let Dagmer slit their throats and I let him burn the bodies, so I can keep Winterfell and make my father proud.

Ramsay Snow: Maybe it's not too late.

Theon Greyjoy: [sniffles] It is. My real father lost his head at King's Landing. I made a choice... and I chose wrong. And now I've burned everything down!
