Love, Comedy, and Chaos in the Workplace
Mixing romance with slapstick and office politics, ATM: Er Rak Error turns a simple banking mishap into a lively exploration of love, secrecy, and responsibility.
The Thai romantic comedy follows Sua (Chantavit Dhanasevi) and Jib (Preechaya Pongthananikorn), two bank employees secretly dating despite strict company rules prohibiting workplace romance. Their relationship is put to the test when an ATM malfunction dispenses double the cash, and both are assigned to recover the money. This competition combines personal and professional conflict, resulting in escalating comedic scenarios that probe the couple's trust and compatibility.
The film succeeds in delivering high-energy comedy, with witty dialogue and humorous situations that resonate with contemporary office life. Chantavit and Preechaya's chemistry drives the narrative, balancing playful rivalry with moments of genuine affection. The ATM error offers a poignant metaphor for the unpredictability of relationships-minor problems that can spiral into larger challenges if left unresolved.
Visually, the film maintains a bright, fast-paced style, reflecting its lighthearted tone. However, the narrative occasionally stretches its central gimmick, leading to repetitive moments. While not groundbreaking in structure, it differentiates itself through its blend of situational comedy and modern workplace themes.
Ultimately, ATM: Er Rak Error offers more than laughs-it reflects on compromise, honesty, and the balance between career and personal life.
Rating: 7/10 - A fun, charming romantic comedy that entertains with its humor and chemistry, even if its premise sometimes overstays its welcome.

Very cute & often funny
Let me start by saying a lot of the comedy is on the stupid side. I normally never find that funny & sat on this DVD for a few years because of it. But I actually laughed out loud for most of it, tho not all. The story was cute and was interesting on its own. Definitely a Thai style I enjoy. It goes by fairly quick for its 2 hour runtime.
The cast is very good. Preechaya Pongthananikorn (Ice) stands out as Jib especially for showing the different sides to the character visually as well as dialogue. I was impressed in this movie as well as in "I Fine..Thank You..Love You" which made me buy this DVD. I recognized Sananthachat Thanapatpisal (Fon) who plays Gob from watching "Hormones: The Series." Here she shows she can do comedy.
This was good enough that I'll soon watch the "ATM 2: Koo ver Error Er Rak" series as I have that DVD box set as well. Not that this movie was so outstanding but very entertaining. A few of the stupid things were in fact just stupid to me and annoying. Fortunately just a few.
Just a light comedy & story with only a touch of romance. Well worth watching.

Humour, True Love and Thailand
I think this is the best Thai movie I watch. Between humor and the drama is very fitting mixed in a movie. With players so has the character to be the spice that fits as a movie. Especially with a female artist facts, Icepreechaya, which in the film This is the first film but seen as a actress experienced. And also the daily life of Bangkok and Chonbury pretty cool disclosed in this film. With humor sometimes excessive but not reduce the quality of the film and the drama romantic pasted with very fitting. And of course, the conflict of two bride and groom who became a central theme of the film is very natural played either by Ter (Chantavit) and Ice (Preechaya). coupled with back sound that accompanies this film again very fitting. when the incident silly, sad and of course when the romantic side appears

Must watch if you want to have painful cheeks.
A comedy movie should make you laugh and not just laugh while you are watching the movie, in it there should be comic scenes that makes you laugh even while you are thinking about it! And that's what ATM promises and delivers. Superb!
