    Rear Window ripoff

The whole time I think about The movie Rear Window. The title of this episode should be connected to the movie.

    "Rear Window"

Felt like this episode was inspired by the Hitchcock's classic "Rear Window." well executed though.

    Gets better with each episode

It took me several episodes to start really engaging with this show, and I credit the performances of the cast to keep me coming back. But this episode was the whole package, and I feel like my patience has been supremely rewarded. As a huge fan of Hitchcock, I love how the writers wove an homage to *Rear Window* into the weekly POI process (amusingly), even while including a meaty flashback and two additional story lines that progress the larger narrative and mysteries without weighing the viewers down. And there was a lot to absorb in this ep. (I was shaking my head after thinking about all that was covered.) In the past when they've tried to build on the back-story, it seemed cumbersome, but ever since about ep. 8, it feels like they're finally finding a balance that works. And the bigger mysteries are not sacrificed in the process. POI has found its feet and it's become MSTV. (Must-see TV.)

    Witness Protection

Reese is recovering from the surgery, moving in a wheelchair, and Finch rents a simple apartment for him to stay far from hotels and clinics. But soon Reese learns that the machine gave the name of the super Ernie Trask, who likes to brag that had nightclubs and yacht in Florida. They follow his steps and believe he has a crush on the chef Lily Thorton, who lives in the building and dates the resident of the penthouse Nathan Ingram. When Finch finds that Ernie bought a gun, it seems that his intent is to kill Lily or Nathan. Meanwhile, Carter is chased by Mark Snow and his men, but she succeeds to leave them behind. Finch meets her and she asks what Reese and he do, and Finch shows her.

"Super" is another great episode of "Person of Interest" that slightly recalls "Rear Window". The plot has many twists, and the last one is unexpected by the viewers. Now that Carter knows what Finch and Reese do, I believe their relationship will change. My vote is eight.

    Title (Brazil): "Super"

    • Trivia
Along with several visual elements that make an homage to Rear Window (1954) (such as Reese being confined to a wheelchair, the suspected villain digging in a rose garden, the use of a camera to observe neighbors), the character of John Reese leases the apartment using the name "Mr. Hayes". John Michael Hayes wrote the screenplay for "Rear Window".
    • Goofs
When Finch takes Reese to the doctor, just as he goes to dump money on the table, you can see the legs of someone leaning against the wall.
    • Quotes

Nathan Ingram: You talk about the machine likes it's a living thing.

Harold Finch: Ssh. It can hear you...
