    A Must See

I rented Good Bad Things at the suggestion of two people whose opinions I respect highly, and I'm so glad I did. The movie was wonderful because it focused on the HUMAN relationships between Danny and Madi, as well as his prior girlfriend and the others in his orbit. His disability was clearly present, and so were the ways that Jason, Madi, his dad, and others helped manage access when needed, but it was not the story's main focus. Even in the moments it was considered, they took care to ask what he wanted, be sure he was ready to move/transfer, and to let him do for himself when he didn't need/want help - they helped, but he maintained autonomy.

The scene when Danny and Jason were pitching the execs at Rubi, when he let go of the foundering slide deck & rehearsed plan and just shared his experience of finding love through the app was a highlight of the interpersonal facet to me.

As one of the recommenders suggested, the movie shows all the NUANCE of navigating this world full of other people and their perceptions and assumptions, especially about love and relationships, and representation of disability as a context, not a focus - it's a powerful perspective.

I definitely recommend Good Bad Things to anyone who wants to see a solid love story amid the full variety of people and situations in the world.

Refreshing view of realistic disability and love

This movie was reccomended to me by Squirmy and Grubs on youtube, an interabled couple who educate people. I really enjoyed watching this, and it was worth the movie price from VEEPS to rent it. This was funny, romantic and overall had a unique and amazing storyline. I love how realistic the main characters love aspect is, with his disability. The movie didnt allow people to pity him or make fun of him, he stood up for himself and it was beautiful and realistic adult realtionship- how it should be. It didnt infantilize him, which some movies do. I appreciate the writing of each scene and how the movie was layed out.

    Poignantly Beautiful

It's not often I come across a movie that feels this human "Good Bad Things" is a rare gem that speaks to the heart, and it left quite an impression on me. What truly stood out was how it didn't gloss over the intricacies of human connections and perceptions. I found myself drawn into the story, particularly the friendship between Danny and Jasone film touched on universal themes - love, acceptance, vulnerability - in a way that resonated with me.

Danny Kurtzman's authenticity was refreshing. It wasn't acting; it was living. He brought the day-to-day reality of muscular dystrophy to the screen in a way that felt genuine and empowering.

    Touchingly poignant and compelling storytelling

I fell in love with the characters in this movie. Strong, original storyline and loads of charismatic actors. But the difference-maker is the sensitive and patent direction. It moves with swiftness, humor, pain, and beauty, and I came to see the world very differently at movie's end. The film tracks a few casual days in an extraordinary man's life and before long I came to understand why all those around him love him so much. This movie is about love, about triumph of spirit, and about the strengths we draw from our family and friends during our darkest times. I laughed and cried. One of my most favorite movies ever. A must see!

A beautifully crafted film you must see!

I must say I loved this movie. "Good Bad Things" is more than just a love story; it's a testament to resilience, the pursuit of happiness, and the universal desire to be seen and loved for who we truly are. My partner and I watched it on Amazon and laughed and cried. This film is a beautiful reminder that, despite life's challenges, love remains a powerful and transformative force.

I hope that more films like this are made. A talented cast. Beautiful filmmaking. Raw and honest. As an artist, I must say, I loved the way creativity became the driving force that united the lovers. I highly recommend this movie.
