My Favorite of ALL the episodes

The story of the American GI never finding his Vietnamese family is so touching because it is a true scenario for thousands of soldiers. This episode tackles the slavery issue as well and how these captors terrorize their own country men with threats of rape and torture by our police. Cleary is cast perfectly. What a beautiful tale of the Dragonand the Fairy. I read the other review and yes its odd that they play net for so long but every episode starts with something similar: rock wall climbing, teasing of a partner, planning birthday parties and convincing Callen to play Lupin-so whats the big deal. The context of the show is what is important.

    Shark jumped

This episode had that "written and directed by one of the actors in the show" feel to it. Dialog appeared to be simply to fill the time (blather); miscast actors in minor roles; the first five minutes playing basketball (why?); odd pacing; It's as though the writers have run out of ideas, but they have to come up with something. If, as I suggested, it was a case of letting an amateur write and direct the episode I have to wonder why the owners of the show would take such a risk with a previously successful franchise. It certainly was not the best use of the on-screen talent. I used to look forward to the show, but I turned it off before the first commercial and it's unlikely I'll watch again.
