Goofs
"The explosion created a vacuum and it sucked out all the oxygen and extinguished the fire," Abby explains. Burning thermite cannot be extinguished by oxygen deprivation because the oxygen is contained in the thermite mix itself (in the form of iron oxide). Thermite can therefore even be ignited under water and under sand.
