Runs high on charm

'Paper Pete' taps into the more bizarre side of "Adventure Time", but also packs the usual level of enjoyment. While Jake's brushing up on Rainicorn heritage, Finn's stuck in the library, and ends up stumbling on a band of paper warriors. I like that this story stresses the importance of reading, and you can still tell that this was concocted as a childlike response to being cooped up in a room full of books.

But it's so random, you can't help but like it. A battle between book pages and paper-eating slugs? Paper Pete is a likable character, and is a perfect example of the writers' turning the mundane into a crisis:

"Look at the damage done yesterday at the Battle of Teddy Bear Joke Book!"

Strange, imaginative, delightful, it's all of that.
