Nancy is shown experiencing word-finding difficulty when talking to Shane, implicitly due to brain damage from being shot in the head. This is a common symptom of brain injury; however the way it is depicted is not accurate. Nancy is able to describe the word that she is looking for to express herself. When patients experience word-finding difficulty, they are unable to come up with other words to describe the word they are looking for and are unable to continue with their sentence at all.
